Offender Management Inspections
The programme is inspecting offender management in each criminal justice area in England & Wales over a 3 year period starting in May 2006.
Youth Offending Team Inspections
The programme is led by HMI Probation, with participation from eight other criminal justice and other inspectorates. The programme is inspecting all 157 YOTs over a 5 year period from mid-2003
Supporting People Inspections
The inspection programme is led by the Audit Commission with a contribution from HMI Probation. The programme inspects the provision of accommodation to enable vulnerable people to live independently.
Thematic Inspection Reports
HMI Probation carries out some thematic inspection work, increasingly on a joint basis with other criminal justice and other inspectorates
Joint Criminal Justice Area Inspections
Joint inspections of criminal justice areas with other CJ inspectorates is conducted under the auspices of the Criminal Justice Chief Inspectors’ Group
