Violence at Home: HMIC Thematic Report
A Joint Inspection by Her Majesty's Crown Prosecution Service Inspectorate and Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Constabulary on the investigation and prosecution of domestic violence. Domestic violence is widespread in England and Wales. In broad terms every minute, the police receive a domestic violence call. Every day, thousands of children witness domestic violence. Every week, two women are killed by a partner, or ex-partner.
