Leading from the frontline: HMIC Thematic Report

Leading from the frontline is a thematic inspection of frontline supervision and leadership in the Police Service of England and Wales.  It has been described as the most comprehensive piece of research into this subject in modern policing history.  It provides a ‘snapshot in time’ of the confidence, capability and capacity to deliver on policing challenges in the role of 24/7 Frontline Sergeant.  The report contains 27 recommendations and provides a platform on which an agenda for change and improvement can be built.
