  Between 3 - 7 April 2006 Chief Superintendent Frank Sullivan and Chief Inspector Bill Halsey carried out an inspection of East Herts Division Basic Command Unit (BCU), (referred to locally as an Area) on behalf of Her Majesty’s Inspector of Constabulary (HMIC).

  An Inspection of Western Area BCU in Hertfordshire Constabulary was conductedbetween 12 - 16 January 2004. This report sets out the BCU Inspection findings,highlighting areas of good practice and making recommendations for improvement whereappropriate. HM Inspector thanks the officers and staff of Western Area BCU for the cooperationand assistance provided to members of the Inspection team.

  The follow up report recognises that all recommendations been accepted and acted upon,the remedial action/implementation plan led to demonstrable improvementand performance in relation to national/local targets improved.
