HMIC is consulting with the public so that your views are taken into account in the way that we assess and report on the policing service in your area.
This consultation paper sets out HMIC’s proposed framework for monitoring and assessing the performance of police forces in England and Wales. It seeks your views as part of HMIC’s new role to act in the public interest described in The Policing Green Paper (July 2008) and the New Performance Landscape for Crime and Policing paper recently published by the Home Office.
