Programmed Inspection Phase 1 PVP Lessons Learned
In 2007 HMIC inspected every police force in England and Wales in the area of protecting vulnerable people.
HMIC found that vision and commitment deliver success where they are underpinned with visible leadership and effective governance, robust performance frameworks, where there is good use of intelligence and information, and meaningful scrutiny to test compliance with policy and consistency of service delivery. Improvements and progress are acknowledged and further improvement encouraged.
